Studio Policies

Expectations
  • Singers are enthusiastic and invested in their vocal growth, and demonstrate this by arriving to lessons on time, prepared (with vocal tracks, sheet music, water bottle and straw, etc), and having made an effort to practice between sessions using the provided resources.
  • Communication between teacher and student is primarily handled through email, except in cases of time sensitive information (running late, emergency, etc).
Payment

  • Invoices for the upcoming month will be provided prior to the 1st, and payment can be completed anytime before the start of the first scheduled lesson of that month (Due date is dated on the day prior to your lesson, and is visible on all invoices for further clarification).
  • No lessons will be taught on an unpaid invoice. This means, if an invoice for the month remains unpaid by the start of your first scheduled lesson, that lesson will not move forward. The invoice will then be considered overdue, and payment of the invoice in full must be made before the second scheduled lesson of the month. If payment is not made by the start of the second lesson of the month, enrollment will be revoked and lessons with Arbor Voice Studio will not continue.

  • Cash Payments are accepted, and must be made at the beginning of the lesson. Please communicate with the studio in advance if paying with cash.
 Attendance/Scheduling

  • Singers may reschedule lessons up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson (ex: a 1:00pm Tuesday lesson must be rescheduled before 1:00pm on Monday), and a new time for said lesson must be found within the same month.
  • Lessons will be considered cancelled without notice if a singer is more than 20 minutes late and has not contacted the studio.
  • If the singer cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson, or is over 20 minutes late with no notice, they will lose that lesson and it will not be eligible for rescheduling or a lesson credit.
  • In the case of teacher cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule that lesson within the month, and if a convenient time cannot be found between teacher and student a lesson credit will be applied to the students next invoice equal to the amount of one week’s enrollment.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you are sick, the same policies apply. If you are not well enough to sing more than 24 hours in advance of your lesson, please go ahead and reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of a lesson due to illness will still result in a loss of that lesson without the opportunity to reschedule or a lesson credit. (In person students, please refer to specific in person/COVID safety policies)
